How are companies adapting to new expectations surrounding sustainability?


As assurance over ESG data becomes the norm and investor scrutiny of corporate sustainability performance continues to grow, organisations are having to make tangible changes to how their business operates.

That means not only changing how they report on their ESG metrics, but also how sustainability is embedded into every aspect of the business. To meet these expectations, companies need to adapt roles and team structures, implement new tech and adopt new internal controls. But what changes are companies currently making, and how ready are they?

To find out, Workiva commissioned research firm Verdantix to survey 400 decision-makers in sustainability, finance, audit and risk within large organisations in the U.S., Europe and Canada.
